Note Counting Machines
High-performance Note Counting Machines (and why you need one)
Why are note sorter machines so critical for businesses? Today the team at LJI International are looking at why note counting machines have become so important in modern businesses.
Money counters are, of course, used to check, count, sort, and sometimes pack cash within the business. Automation of this key process typically makes it more secure, more efficient, and even more cost-effective. Counterfeits become easier to spot, your staff carry less administrative burden, and there’s less chance of error.
Note handling machines are used through a range of areas, from the back office to the front desk. If cash is handled there, you might need a machine.
Why are note counting machines better than manual sorting?
First of all, they’re considerably faster! There’s no risk of losing count or making errors, either, saving time and resources. That’s not the only job they do, however. Alongside counting, they can check if the note is authentic, sort by denomination, and even pull damaged notes out of the stack for you. Some advanced models can identify serial numbers for you, too, making your life easier.
How do they do the job?
They’re very intuitive to use, too. Simply insert the notes into the compartment. Negative pressure is used to ‘suction’ the notes through the feeder system into the machine. From there, it’s a matter of top-end sensors checking the features as the notes pass through. The note will then be dropped into the correct output tray, and you’re done!
This enables large quantities of cash to be sorted quickly, with the additional security checks acting as an exciting perk. Soiled and damaged notes can be a problem at banks, so having them separated from the pile for individual attention helps speed the time you spend banking, too. High-performance systems work differently from compact systems. They’re typically faster- some can work at up to 1,000 notes per minute- have more automation, more features, and operate to greater capacity.
Any cash counter will be faster than a human, but a high-performance system gets the job done as quickly as possible. Not to mention the potential for identifying counterfeits. After all, many fakes are so good the human eye won’t even pick them up! Yet security features can easily be checked by precision sensors as the note passes through the machine, giving you far greater peace of mind.
LJI International is proud to offer top-end high-performance note counting machines. With precision technology and dedication to quality, you’ll find your machine long-lasting, simple to use, and easy to adapt to your business.
